Members of Root Cellar entered a "Scarecrow Contest" at Merrill Gardens. Merrill Gardens sent the message out to organizations, and businesses they do business
with and also to residents of the Merrill Gardens. Apparently the response was overwhelming. There are so many people with lots of creativity. On a specific day,
anyone and everyone in the residents was asked to judge all the scarecrows. The results were announced at a breakfast at Merrill Gardens on October 24, 2009 Saturday.
Unfortunately we did not place but I think that we got a high by just participating.
