DETAILS:
The collection contains over 4000 books and periodicals from more than 500 Genealogical Societies from the United States and Canada. The library also has available member surname cards, pedigree charts and other member submitted materials such as the "Pioneer Certificates." 
PERIODICALS:
Periodicals are exchanged with over 130 other societies. Periodicals are in binders on shelves for easy access.
CALIFORNIA COLLECTION:
LOCATION:
The collection is located on the fourth floor of the California State Archives, 1020 "O" Street, Sacramento, California.
HOURS:
9:30 A.M. - 4 P.M.
Monday - Friday,
and the first Saturday of each month, (except holidays)
ENTRANCE:
The Main entrance is located near the corner of 10th & "O" Street. Once in the lobby, turn left and take the elevator to the "Research Room" on Fourth Floor.
Note: You will be asked to place your purses and briefcases in lockers which are provided. You will be issued a "Research" Badge by the Archives's Staff.
TRANSPORTATION:
~ During the Work Week use "LIGHT RAIL": [Most recomemded]
~ Use the "Archives Plaza" Station. This station is located right in front of the building.
PARKING: [be careful it can quickly add up to lots of $$$$$]
~ On-street parking meters have a two hour limit.
~ Garage at 10th & "O" is $1.25 per Half Hour with $20 maximum.
~ Free Parking is only available once a month on the first Saturday, after 10:00 a.m.
